Belmont kentucky game

I've been pleased with how well she's shooting the ball from behind the three-point line and she's playing with confidence.

Belmont gave Louisville a scare late in the game. Belmont got hot from deep, making four 3-pointers in a row to cut an point lead to 12 points. Coach Jeff Walz called a timeout, called an out of bounds play that got Olivia Cochran an easy basket and Louisville held on from there. I'm sure Louisville would've liked to hold onto its point lead, but the Cards holding on to win by double digits was a good sign.

The early part of the season is meant to test your team and Louisville was tested against Belmont, particularly in the fourth quarter.

Walz, despite the Belmont run, didn't look worried throughout the game. Morehead State. Murray State. UT Martin.

Tennessee State. Southeast Missouri State. Tennessee Tech. SIU Edwardsville. Eastern Illinois. Hedges led off the sixth with a single and Doersching made it runners on first and third with a double to left field.

NKU then scored on three-straight at-bats thanks to a Wakeham single, a double from Hall and a triple from McFadden-Ackman, respectively, plating five runs. Brandt grounded out to second base to score McFadden-Ackman before the end of the Norse sixth, making it a game in favor of Belmont. The Bruins added one more run in the sixth with a homer to left. In the final inning, an error that put Hedges on and a single up the middle by Gick kept the comeback hopes alive.

Bacon plated Hedges with a single of his own to make it a two-run game. Wakeham held steady in a count and snatched a walk, jamming the bases full. McFadden-Ackman followed with a walk of his own to score Gick, making it Belmont. Pinch-hitting for Brandt, Moss had the game-winning blooper to right, bringing home Bacon and a pinch-running John Odom. Lange sealed the game shut, punching out two in the bottom of the seventh and forcing a grounder for the final out.

As much as LSU represents a chance for Kentucky to prove itself as a ranked squad, the game might be even more important from a perception standpoint for the Tigers. The Dec. Tuesday represents the chance for Kentucky to prove its recent strides are legitimate and the Wildcats have actually improved since their only previous games against a ranked opponent Duke and on the road Notre Dame.
